Lotus Sutra Buddhism needs writers like you...
... if you consider the Lotus Sutra to be the Buddha’s highest teaching, if it inspires you, if you've recently found it, or if you have questions about it.
Lotus Sutra Buddhism is building a dynamic team of volunteer writers. If the Buddha’s ultimate and empowering teaching known as the Lotus Sutra inspires you, or if you've recently discovered it, or if you have questions about it, you might be just who we’re looking for.
Lotus Sutra Buddhism is a growing community of readers and writers. We are seekers, learners, and teachers. We ask questions and make efforts to tap into our limitless power as eternal Buddhas, the power each person has within. Our community members grow together, inspire one another, and continuously learn how to face and transform inner, interpersonal, and external challenges into undeniable victories so that, together, we can all lead joyful and fulfilling lives.
With the exception of those who’ve recently discovered the Lotus Sutra or have questions about it:
Our writers view the Lotus Sutra as the Buddha’s ultimate teaching. which is what he stated several times in the sutra. For instance, in the “Treasure Tower” chapter (11), he said:
“I have widely preached many sutras, and among them this sutra is foremost.”
Our writers do not view the historical Buddha, Shakyamuni, as THE singular eternal Buddha. Rather, they view us all as eternal Buddhas. That is to say, they view the Buddha of the “Life Span of the Thus Come One” chapter (16) as each one of us common mortals. This is what Nichiren said in his writing “The True Aspect of All Phenomena”:
A common mortal is an entity of the three bodies, and a true Buddha.
